Under new ownership.  Bill and Kelly Didsbury are now the proud owners of Dessert Plus.  We wanted to thank Michelle and Debbie previous owners for the help and support they have given us.

What’s new!  In the upcoming weeks we will be making a few changes to the coffee shop.  We will be adding beer and wine to the list of great coffee, desserts and ice cream.  We are also getting a flat screen TV with the NFL ticket.  All you sports fans can come to Dessert Plus and watch your football and bring the family.

We look forward to serving each of you.

We were very excited with the performace by Steve Simpson and Herschell Lee Brown.  They even brought other talented artists to split the night with. It was a great turnout that they wanted to keep playing. We said No Problem!!!  Cheesecake and a Latte goes great with evening acoustic entertainment at Dessert Plus. Wow, our menu expands more and more every week. We like to hear the “regulars” say, wow, that is new!  We are making our own homemade waffle cones and bowls and also offering the traditional sundae bowl if you like that.  We have strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavors for the time being. We may expand into some sherberts and low fat yogurts also.

And what else comes with ice cream??? MILKSHAKES. Yes, we can now make your favorite flavor of ice cream in a yummy shake. Stop in and see us.

As usual, we had another great time this Saturday with Rick Spreitzer.  He and Mike Strauss had a great performance and we welcome them back next month for another great show.

We had a great time and lots of laughs on Saturday night with Steve Simpson and his “packaging” song and his song about men living without women in the world. It was quite entertaining.   Along with him, was Scott and Jeannie Bistrow who sang songs that was familiar to most of us. We welcome them back anytime.

Although it was a rainy evening, we still had a good turnout for the live entertainment with David Holtzclaw. His music, with his wife, is entertaining and upbeat. Join us next time Aug 22nd if you missed him this time. 7:30 - 9:30. 

Wow, it was a hot week last week. Of the record highs we had in Charlotte, we had to have a broken air conditioner during that time.    Rick Spreitzer cancelled Saturday because it was just too hot to play and we even turned off the lights at times just to keep it cool inside. 

Well, the good news is that it is fixed.    Join us this Saturday with David Holtzclaw and a refreshing cup of blended iced mocha.

MMM. You’ve got to try out our new fruit tea smoothies. They are nonfat with vitamin C. Top it with whipped cream, (although, that kind of defeats the whole non-fat thing, right?)  … or don’t.   Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Pomegranate Blueberry, Mango or Pineapple-Coconut. You’re perfect summer treat.

Some of our other cold drinks included new blended coffees!!!  Try a mocha, caramel, coffee flavor, dulche de leche, or cookies and creme blended coffee the next time you’re on your way to the new Ayrsley Movie Theatre in South Charlotte. 

Not in for  a blended treat? We have iced chai, fresh squeezed lemonade, dales homemade iced tea and a cooler full of other cold drinks.
